Partnership is a form of giving described in the Word of God. Paul wrote to the church in Philippi:
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.“
(Philippians 1:3-5)
The Philippians were co-laborers in the grace and anointing that were upon the ministry of the Apostle Paul. They found good soil for sowing. Jesus described situational giving in Mark 4, speaking of different types of soil. However, only good, fertile soil bore fruit for the sower. Partnership is conscious giving into good soil on a consistent basis. The Philippians were partners with Paul even when he went to other places to preach.
“Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.“
(Philippians 4:16-17)
Thanks to their partnership, Paul established God’s Kingdom in other regions and rejoiced that God was prospering them.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:19)
God desires to bless everyone, but this verse is specifically addressed to the partners of Paul who participated in spreading the Gospel of God’s grace. One of the privileges of being a partner in ministry is being a channel through which money and resources flow. This is one of the ways God has revealed prosperity for you.
“You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may confirm His covenant that He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
(Deuteronomy 8:18)
